Amira Berbo is a singer, musician and songwriter from Berlin. In her songs she tries to observe societal issues like feminism, political conflicts and our relationship to our planet as well as personal topics, stories, relationships and fears through the lens of the supernatural.

Aliénore (Witchy Alternative Pop)
Aliénore is a French-British singer & musician living in Berlin creating ethereal, witchy alternative pop. Cinematic and ambient harmonies blend with gothic tones, whilst haunting vocals weave around enchanting synth lines, atmospheric sounds, and words written both in English and French. Aliénore's music pulls the listener into a dreamy soundscape with depth, rawness, and sensitivity.

ALIÉNORE
Alternative/Dream Pop – FR/UK/Berlin

Aliénore is a French-British singer & musician living in Berlin creating ethereal, witchy alternative pop. Cinematic and ambient harmonies blend with gothic tones, enmeshing haunting vocals that weave around enchanting synth lines, celestial atmospheric sounds, and words written both in English and French. Aliénore’s music pulls the listener into a dreamy soundscape with depth, rawness, and sensibility.

Known for the immersive & intimate nature of her performances, often collaborating with multi-disciplinary artists and with her background in fashion, visual & sonic worlds collide in symbiosis. Highly inspired by the mystical & natural worlds, her music beckons the listener into a vulnerable and organic sonic space.

Following her critically praised debut EP Métamorphose (2023), Aliénore now prepares to release her most ambitious work to date. Set for release on the 7th November 2025, Mirage is a five-track EP that explores duality, the illusionary, and female empowerment, while paying homage to the dark feminine and to the fragility of human connection.

Compared to artists like Kate Bush, Bat for Lashes, and Chelsea Wolfe, Aliénore blends mystic, gothic sounds that blur the lines between reality and imagination.

On Thursday 2.1, we joined our friends Red Mess (Brazilian alternative grunge/psychedelic/progressive sludge/post-punk/hardcore/garage/stoner rock) for the release of their album High-Tech Starvation at Schokoladen, with Mymo (contemporary 90s alternative rock) as special guest. The night featured video projection by Bakka, liquid light visuals by Brit, and an after party with DJ Eggs Delicious.

We were back at Studio II (Mime Centrum) on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, for another night of improvisation across sound, movement, anlaogue visuals & video projection.

This round, VJ Open Lab returned with vibrant visuals — transforming the space with shifting colors and textures. Big thanks to Lea & Mary for bringing the visuals into these new editions!

This edition featured live video projection, filling the room with vibrant, shifting visuals. A warm thank you to Lea and Mary for bringing the visuals to life, and to Niki from Borderless Creatures for curating the music. The visual art was guided by Lavia Lin, while the movement warm-up was led by Mayila. Thank you to all those who came to jam and donated, your contributions keep us going!
